Delicious savory loaf that pairs perfectly with roasted chicken, beef, Italian dishes, and more.
This handmade sourdough loaf is naturally leavened and crafted with vegan butter, garlic, and a blend of savory herbs like basil, oregano, rosemary, marjoram, thyme, and sage. Each loaf includes rye flour, bringing extra vitamins, fiber, and a rich, earthy flavor. Rye flour costs a bit more than white, but the added depth it gives makes it worth every bite! Fermented overnight, this loaf has a wonderful, complex flavor and a perfectly soft texture.

Storing Tips:
To keep your bread crusty and fresh, store it in the paper bag it came in, use beeswax wraps to cover the cut side, or simply place it cut-side down on the cutting board. Over time, the crust will naturally harden, which is normal. Avoid storing it in a sealed bag, as this will soften the crust and cause it to mold within a few days. I recommend leaving it exposed to the air, covering the crumb, and rehydrating as needed.
Freezer-Friendly Tip: If you can't finish your loaf within 2-3 days, slice it and store the slices in a freezer bag. When you're ready to enjoy, just take a slice out of the freezer and toast it. This bread freezes beautifully and is a perfect solution for long-term storage.
No more throwing out hard bread! If your bread has hardened after sitting out too long, don't worry! Sourdough is a resilient bread. Simply wet your hands, rub a little water into the crust and crumb, and pop it into the toaster. Once it's toasted, add your favorite butter or vegan spread—it will taste just as fresh as when it was first baked! Sourdough is like a sponge, perfect for bringing back to life.
